Long Island travelers turn to agents for "eco-tours"

Long Island travel agents are seeing a strong demand from "eco-tourists" and "adventure travelers" hoping to educate themselves on the environment's vulnerabilities. Agents John and Adriana Vater, for example, are planning a tour of the Mexican coast that will focus on the ecosystem and the population of native fish. Although the number of travel agents employed is not expected to change much through 2016, travel will eventually rebound, with travelers taking more exotic vacations, according to the Department of Labor.
