Some credit card issuers ease up on fees, penalties

Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Huntington Bank and other credit card issuers are no longer subjecting borrowers to "penalty interest rates" when they are late with payments. Citigroup's Citibank division and American Express have both dropped fees for foreign transactions on some of their credit cards. These are a couple of examples of credit card issuers that have started pulling back on fees in an effort to keep their customers happy.
