Android extends hand to developers with Design site

Google's new Android Design site functions something like a stylebook for application developers using the latest version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, says Matias Duarte, Android's chief of user experience. The idea is to help developers produce elegantly functional apps by providing insights into the new operating system. "We want to show you how we think and how we designed Ice Cream Sandwich to work," Duarte says. "What all its principals and its rules and its conventions are so you don't have to try and discover that yourself."
