Hotel industry praises Obama's visa-reform initiative

Members of the hotel industry voiced their support for President Barack Obama's new program to boost economic growth by promoting international travel into the country. Obama's plan centers on streamlining the visa-application process from countries such as China, Brazil and India, which would increase visitation and spending in top cities and destinations in the country. "By focusing on these high-growth sectors, the United States is poised to create jobs and strengthen the economy," AH&LA President and CEO Joseph McInerney said.
