Travel industry starts recovery of workforce after downturn

Economic recovery has allowed various segments of the travel and tourism industry to gradually increase hiring activities as travel demand continues its slow growth, experts say. In addition, the downturn has provided employers such as hotels a labor pool with higher qualifications, said Joseph McInerney, president and CEO of the American Hotel & Lodging Association.
