Aggressive behavior with autism presents many challenges

Nine of 15 families of male children and young adults diagnosed with autism reported having problems with aggression, according to a Canadian study in the journal Focus on Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities. These families also dealt with social isolation, extra expenses for home repairs, lack of respite care, less support from professionals, and concerns over the safety of people and property, researchers said.
