First "three-around" compact paper in U.S. to debut Jan. 28

The morning of Jan. 28 will mark the debut of the first "three-around" newspaper in the U.S., bringing the potential for full color and a higher ratio of news to advertising while saving substantial paper cost. The Columbus Dispatch of Ohio is adopting the 14.75-by-11-inch compact model on that date, with the Cincinnati Enquirer, which has contracted to be printed on Dispatch presses, following later in the quarter.
