Practices that improve factory performance

More manufacturing executives should make use of methods that are proven to improve factory performance, IndustryWeek's Patricia Panchak writes. She notes that several of those methods are outlined in a report from the U.S. Census Bureau, including using structured procedures to monitor performance, establishing incentives, encouraging higher rates of innovation and developing practices for faster re-employment.
