Wait times for pediatric appointments fall with changes in scheduling

The average wait time for a pediatric endocrinology appointment dropped from 11.4 weeks to 1.7 weeks -- or about 85% -- 13 months after the implementation of changes in patient scheduling, according to a study in the journal Pediatrics. The intervention was linked to an estimated 29% increase in the total volume of monthly visits.
