Banks work on getting the most out of social media

Financial-services firms are allocating more personnel to social media initiatives despite the problem that there isn't much hard data available to measure how much these efforts are accomplishing. A consensus seems to be developing at the senior management level that social media are a useful extension of traditional customer service functions and a potential tool for differentiation.
