DigiLEARN sees technology as a path to improved education

A former governor of North Carolina has launched an initiative to use cutting-edge technology to bolster classroom learning. Former Gov. Beverly Perdue's Digital Learning Institute, or DigiLEARN, has received $450,000 in seed capital from the Carnegie Foundation and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and will seek to spark digital innovation in education.
