Experts differ on whether banks have become more secure

Senior banking executives attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, said their industry is in far better condition than it was before the financial crisis, but experts from outside banking expressed a different view. Anat Admati, a Stanford University professor of finance and economics, said banks simply don't have enough equity. "No business in the economy has the easy money that banks get to play with," she said.
