Miss. telehealth effort aims to help diabetes patients

A telemedicine effort unveiled by Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant aims to boost the level of care that patients with diabetes receive. The Mississippi Diabetes Telehealth Initiative is a collaboration involving C Spire, GE Healthcare, the University of Mississippi Medical Center and North Sunflower Medical Center. It seeks to help "200 of the most complex diabetes patients in the Mississippi Delta," Bryant said. The program is expected to enhance disease management and patient outcomes for years to come.
