Mobile leads the way as digital ad spending grows

With 59% and 54.4% gains, mobile search and mobile display advertising easily outpaced the 12.1% year-on-year gain in overall U.S. digital ad spending in the third quarter, according to data from research firm IDC. IDC projects fourth-quarter spending to be higher, given improvement in the economy.
