Netflix warns of "protest" if ISPs demand payments

Netflix has promised to "vigorously protest" any attempt by an Internet service provider to charge the company a toll in exchange for facilitating high-quality streaming. Netflix would "encourage our members to demand the open Internet they are paying their ISP to deliver" if that were to happen, the company's CEO, Reed Hastings, and chief financial officer, David Wells, wrote in a letter to investors.
