Study links psoriasis to greater diabetes risk

Researchers analyzed data from a health insurance database in Taiwan and found that patients with psoriasis had a moderately higher likelihood of developing type 2 diabetes than those without the skin condition. The risk of diabetes rose with the severity of the skin disease, according to the study in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.
