DirecTV accounting raises questions at the SEC

Regulators at the SEC are seeking information from DirecTV related to accounting procedures at the satellite-TV company. At issue are deals involving Pegasus Communications, the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative and Thomson. The SEC also has questions about a $1.47 billion write-down for satellites. The move could force DirecTV to increase its depreciation and amortization expenses.
