Federal security officials to unveil disaster preparedness program for kids

The Department of Homeland Security next month will kick off a new program called Ready Kids, designed to help teachers and parents prepare children aged 8 through 12 for emergencies. The campaign of TV ads, school programs and other events will feature a McGruff-style "homeland security hound."
