Franchising key for brand growth, but timing is everything

More brands are looking to franchising in order to build brand growth, with more than 177 new franchise concepts emerging in the first three quarters of 2006 -- 63 in the third quarter alone. P.J. Evans, who spent the last year building the franchise development program for Corner Bakery Cafe, helped develop a formula that revealed that 2006 was the right time for that company to launch.
