Get a grip: A good handshake makes a good impression

Giving a bad handshake can prompt someone to form an immediate bad impression of you, Anthony Balderrama writes. Don't squeeze too hard, which can make it seem like you're trying to over-prove yourself, and don't give such a limp handshake it appears you're disinterested. Maintain eye contact, and shake with a "firm grip and a few pumps up and down," he writes.
