Cornell veterinarians care for local wildlife

The two veterinarians at the Janet L. Swanson Wildlife Health Center at Cornell University performed delicate surgery to repair a saw-whet owl's broken wing last fall. The center provides free medical care for about 800 sick and injured wild animals each year, including birds, snakes and the occasional bobcat.
