Dispatchers are ready for calls of all types on Super Bowl weekend

Indiana's Marion County Sheriff's Department says the goal for Super Bowl weekend is to have dispatchers answer every 9-1-1 call as quickly as possible and, for those that are not emergencies, to refer people to the appropriate place. Operator David Riojas says it helps that most dispatchers know the city well. If out-of-town callers can give dispatchers a local focal point, "we can use that as a reference for the officers or the medics and the fire department."
