Monthly counseling helps diabetes patients reach health goals faster

People with diabetes who received once-monthly counseling only needed an average of roughly four weeks to reach their target goals for blood glucose, blood pressure or cholesterol levels, compared with an average of 13.5 months in those who had counseling once every one to six months, according to a study in the journal Diabetes Care.
