Veterinarians operate on bald eagle after shooting

After a motorist reported an injured bald eagle along a roadside, rescuers determined the bird had been shot and veterinarians amputated its wing tip. The bald eagle will be placed in a zoo or sanctuary because it cannot fly due to its injury. Wildlife officials are searching for the shooter.
