2 bills in Maine target ethanol

Maine state Rep. Jeff Timberlake introduced two bills that aim to curb the availability of ethanol in the state. The first bill would lessen the percentage of ethanol in Maine's gasoline supply from 10% to 5%, while the second would facilitate the establishment of an ethanol-free fuel market in New England for oil company Irving. Canada-based Irving is offering to provide ethanol-free gasoline in New England if at least three states sign up for the plan, Timberlake said.
