Acer aims "beyond" PCs with new business plan

Acer says it will shutter its eMachines business and revamp its strategy around new products from the Gateway and Packard Bell brands. "As computing devices are used in new ways, both on the go and throughout the home, Gateway and Packard Bell will adapt their product portfolios to meet these needs," Acer's Lisa Emard says.
