Cellphone lots have grown in popularity at airports

Airports have added amenities such as the cellphone lot for people waiting to pick up passengers. Los Angeles International and Seattle-Tacoma International airports were the first to introduce the lots in 2004. "Security concerns and technology have definitely driven the rise of this airport amenity," said Debbie McElroy, spokeswoman for Airports Council International-North America.
