A compliance to-do list for employers

This is a big year for implementing provisions of the Affordable Care Act, and employers have a lot to consider. Employers should look at tax compliance regarding caps on contributions to flexible spending accounts, fees and other changes. Employers are also obligated to alert workers to certain aspects of the law including the existence of exchanges, and even though employers are not required to decide whether they will continue to sponsor coverage until next year, it may be a good idea to do so sooner to address the questions from workers that will inevitably surface.
