Microsoft's "North Star" content strategy for Windows 8

Social media played a big role in the launch of Windows 8, Microsoft's Jessica Jensen and Rob Wolf say. The company's 161 social media accounts were pruned down to a single official Facebook page and content calendar, and officials built their content strategy around the topics they're already associated with and the topics they aspire to be linked to, a strategy that Wolf refers to as following a content "North Star."
