Niches give small grocers room to blossom

Small grocers such as Bell's Market in Braddock, Pa., and Labriola Italian Markets, which has four Pittsburgh-area locations, are able to thrive despite competition from larger grocery chains by finding a niche. Bell's, for example, is known for its meat but also for giving cups of coffee to customers.
