Utah's Hatch says budget talks need to examine Medicaid, Medicare

Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, called for changes in Medicare and Medicaid to be considered in the Senate's budget debate. The Budget Committee should address entitlement costs that will increase with baby boomers' health needs, Hatch said. Without changes, the federal government would spend $12 trillion on the two programs in the next 10 years, Hatch said.
