Netflix tests new pricing options

Netflix has been trying out new pricing strategies in a possible attempt to provide more segmented options to subscribers beyond its $7.99 monthly streaming plan. CEO Reed Hastings said Wednesday that offering a single price across the entire Netflix base might not be the best plan for all customers. "The trick is not having too many factors, keeping it understandable -- and really, that it feels fair and resonates with consumers," he said after the company's quarterly earnings report.
