Ad buys in Asia up 28%

Nielsen Media Research is reporting that advertising spending in Asia outside of Japan was up 28% between October 2003 and September 2004. In China alone, advertisers spent $18.9 billion in 2004, 76% of which went to TV advertising, with multinational companies like Procter & Gamble and Colgate-Palmolive leading the way in ad spending.
