Gates Foundation donates $750M to vaccinate children in poor countries

Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates and his wife are donating $750 million to get vaccines to the world's poorest children in developing countries. The grant is the second time the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has given money to the cause -- the same amount was granted five years ago to help the international group Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization, or GAVI, launch its first efforts. The government of Norway yesterday also announced a $290 million donation to the alliance.
