Blue Ribbon Cheese gets OK for new California plant

The Fresno County Planning Commission in California has approved the construction of Blue Ribbon Cheese Co.'s $300 million cheese plant in western Fresno County, the company said. The 435,000-square-foot plant is expected to employ more than 300 workers to produce a variety of cheeses, including cheddar, jack, mozzarella and provolone cheeses.
