Daniele recalls pepper-coated meat possibly tainted with salmonella

Rhode Island-based company Daniele removed cured meat products including its pepper-coated salami and sausage from the market Saturday amid reports of a salmonella outbreak that started this summer. No salmonella has been found yet in Daniele products, but health officials have not completed their factory investigation.
