Golf course design business continues to nosedive

A number of prominent golf course designers, including Florida's Bobby Weed and the legendary Jack Nicklaus, say that the "Gilded Age" of golf course design has come to an end, thanks in part to the stagnant economy. "Golf has such a black eye today that developers are looking for every reason not to build a golf course," Weed says.
