Malaysia announces innovation rewards for 20 high-performing schools

Twenty schools in Malaysia have been identified as high-performance schools -- making them eligible for enhanced budgets, more pay for the best educators and other rewards as a way to promote innovation. "These schools will be given the flexibility in their curriculum, student intake and management of staff based on performance," said Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
