Senate Democrats to look at $80B stimulus bill

An $80 billion jobs-stimulus package that would provide tax credits to small- and medium-sized businesses that hire workers will go before Senate Democrats. The proposal, smaller than an economic-aid package approved last month by the House, includes more funding for infrastructure and road projects and money for state governments to prevent layoffs. The goal is to have the measure on the Senate floor by the second week in February.
