GameStop to close stores in Northern Ireland, Portugal

US-based games retailer GameStop said this week it will close brick-and-mortar stores in Northern Ireland and Portugal as part of an ongoing transformation to digital retail in underperforming markets in Europe. The chain has also opened 25 new stores in better-performing markets including Italy and France in recent months.
