Potential AMR investors court British Airways

Companies interested in investing in AMR Corp. are reaching out to International Airlines Group, the parent company of British Airways. The U.K. carrier is part of the Oneworld Alliance with American Airlines. "American is a very important and strong partner ... and we'll do all we can to support them as they go through Chapter 11," said a spokeswoman for IAG. Meanwhile, the CEO of AMR indicated that its management structure may be downsized and the U.S. Trustee is questioning the scope of services of several law firms as advisers.
