UT mascot undergoes surgery to repair knee

University of Tennessee mascot Smokey, an 8-year-old bluetick coonhound, underwent a tibial plateau leveling osteotomy to repair a partially torn cranial cruciate ligament in his knee. Veterinary orthopedic surgeon Darryl Millis performed the procedure and says that Smokey is doing well.
