Texas facility joins R&D group for MRI radiotherapy device

Philips Healthcare and Elekta have added MD Anderson Cancer Center to a research consortium for the development of technology that integrates MRI with radiation therapy. The hybrid technology is intended to allow doctors to adjust the delivery of radiation treatment in real time by giving them access to soft tissue and tumor images during the procedure.
