GSK testing bird flu vaccine additives to increase supply

GlaxoSmithKline expects to have two additives for its experimental vaccine against the bird flu strain H5N1 in separate trials by April as the firm speeds development due to the threat of a pandemic. The firm said it aims to get a vaccine into production by the end of the year; the additives could help stretch supplies of the vaccine.
