Commercial construction spending could drop 20%, groups say

Spending on commercial construction projects will decline by as much as 20% this year, according to a forecast by industry groups. Meanwhile, office construction could fall by as much as 25%. Associated General Contractors leaders in the Midwest predict continued work on highways in Missouri but note that some projects in the state will be hurt by weakness in the bond market.
