Construction firms would benefit from stimulus package

An economic-stimulus package could help some construction firms avoid laying off workers and instead start purchasing materials for new projects. The proposal would spend billions to upgrade the nation's infrastructure. In fact, an Associated General Contractors survey found that 85% of the group's members could start work on infrastructure projects within a month of lawmakers passing the bill.
