Diethyl sulphate recommended for Canada's list of toxic substances

Canadian agencies Health Canada and Environment Canada are recommending that diethyl sulphate be added to the country's list of toxic substances. Other jurisdictions, including the European Commission, consider diethyl sulphate -- once used in chemical warfare -- to be a possible carcinogen, and the action indicates a resumption of Canada's program for reviewing hazardous chemicals.
