Officials at Colorado water project keep safety a key priority

Safety remains a top priority for officials working on the Prairie Waters Project in Aurora, Colo. "As of the end of October, we have logged 717,189 man-hours with only five recordable incidents, one lost-time incident and 14 utility strikes," said Darrell Hogan, program director of Aurora Water. The $754 million project, scheduled for completion in 2010, will increase the Denver suburb's water supply by 20%.
