Senate economic-stimulus proposal contains similar disability provisions

When compared with a similar package before the House, the stimulus package proposed Friday by Senate Democrats contains the same added funding for special education and Medicaid, but smaller one-time payments for those who receive Social Security income. Senate committees will take up its bill on Tuesday; the House is expected to vote on its version on Wednesday.
