Experts predict a more active Atlantic hurricane season for 2010

The 2010 Atlantic hurricane season will be busier than the 50-year average and the 2009 season, producing 13 named storms, seven hurricanes and three category 3 hurricanes, predicted experts from WSI Corp. "The previous five El Niño events have all been followed by significant increases in tropical activity the following summer as the vertical shear weakens and the tropical Atlantic warms up," said one forecaster.
